About the Championship Game

The 2020 Sun Belt Conference Football Championship Game between the East Division champion Coastal Carolina University Chanticleers and the West Division champion Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns has been canceled. 

No. 9/12 Coastal Carolina (11-0, 8-0) was scheduled to host No. 17/18 Louisiana (9-1, 7-1) in the championship game on Saturday, Dec. 19 at 3:30 p.m. ET at Brooks Stadium in Conway, S.C. Both teams will be declared Co-Champions.

STADIUM SAFETY MEASURES
  • • Fans who are listed among the CDC's at-risk groups are especially vulnerable and should consider staying home and refraining from attending events.
  • • Face coverings are required unless eating or drinking.
  • • Pregame traditions like the Chant Walk will not take place in 2020.
  • • Fans will be seated in pods of two or four affiliated guests in socially-distanced pods.
  • • All fans are strongly encouraged to follow all signage both throughout the stadium and on the designated seating assignments.
  • • One-way traffic flow will be implemented to enter and exit the stadium.
  • • Hand sanitizer stations will be available at each entrance gate and throughout the stadium.
  • • Clear Bag policy will be enforced as normal (Click Here).
  • • No stadium re-entry (pass-outs) permitted.
  • • All restrooms will be open. Max capacities will be identified based on the number of fixtures and the appropriate six feet of physical distancing within the restroom area.
  • • Concessions will be open and will follow SC DHEC protocols related to food and beverage service to include, but are not limited to, physical distancing in lines, cashless and/or touchless payment options where applicable, and pre-packaged food and beverage items for sale.
 
PARKING/SHUTTLES
  • • Parking lots will open two hours prior to kickoff and close one hour after the conclusion of the game.
  • • Fans are asked to wear face coverings and maintain social distancing in parking areas.
  • • Complimentary parking options are available. Fans can park off S.C. 544 (Lot YY), off of U.S. 501 (Lot GG), and off of University Blvd. (Lot KK).
  • • Auxiliary ADA-parking is located in Lot S adjacent to the Wall College of Business and Brittain Hall on a first-come, first-served basis for individuals with official state-issued ADA placards. Complimentary transport will be provided via ADA-accessible shuttles to and from Lot S and Brooks Stadium.
  • • ADA-accessible shuttles will make a loop approximately every 10 minutes to and from the TD Sports Complex entrance and Gate 6 from lots YY and GG ONLY.
  • • Fans will be required to wear face coverings and drivers will strictly enforce the number of shuttle passengers allowed.
  • • Drivers will wear face coverings at all times and protective sneeze guards have been installed around the driver and between each row of seating.

  • • Tailgating will be allowed at an individual's discretion; however, tents and other items that encourage large groups are prohibited. Any tailgating that does occur, must be maintained within the individual parking space area and cannot be located in or around public green spaces.
  • • No tailgating will be allowed once the game starts or after the conclusion of the contest.
 
TICKETING
  • • Digital ticketing is encouraged this year for safe and easy entry into the stadium.
  • • The Sun Belt Conference is SOLD OUT due to limited capacity. To be added to the wait list, email at tickets@coastal.edu. 
  • • Print at home tickets are also encouraged.
  • • Will call is available 90 minutes prior to kickoff:
                • Visiting Team             Gate 6
                • Home Team                Gate 4
                • General                       Baseball Stadium
(A picture ID is required to pick up will call tickets).
  • • All stadium gates will open 60 minutes prior to kickoff.
  • • Current Coastal Carolina University students must claim their free student ticket online ahead of gameday. Students with a valid ticket can enter Brooks Stadium through Gate 1.
  • • For ADA-accessible tickets/seating information, please contact the Chanticleer Athletics Ticket Office at 843-347-8499. All seats at Brooks Stadium are assigned. ADA-accessible seating is available throughout the stadium.
