Mangum enters his fourth year at the Sun Belt Conference, where he will serve as the primary communications contact for volleyball, men's & women's cross country, men's & women's indoor track & field, men's & women's outdoor track & field and men's & women's tennis.
Mangum joins the Sun Belt after spending four years at Life University, where he was responsible for all aspects of athletic communications and social media for the department’s 23 sports on campus. In his time with the Running Eagles, he expanded Life University Athletics' presence on social media by more than 6,000 followers across all three platforms.
Prior to his time at Life University, Mangum spent a year at Central Methodist University and two years as the Lead Sports Information Graduate Assistant (2015-17) at Auburn University at Montgomery, where. he received his Master's Degree in Sport Management.
An active member of the NAIA-SIDA community, Mangum has garnered numerous awards, sat on the marketing and branding committee, and, most recently in 2021, was elected to the NAIA-SIDA Executive Board as an At-Large Member. A four-year member of the baseball program at Piedmont College, Mangum graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in English.
