Kennedy Taylor was hired by the Sun Belt Conference as Assistant Director, Championships, in July 2024, and will assist with the women’s soccer, volleyball, indoor track & field, men’s & women’s basketball, men’s tennis, beach volleyball, outdoor track & field and baseball championships.
 
Taylor joined the Sun Belt following a year as the Central Texas Regional Director for the Texas Charter School Academic and Athletic League. While there, she oversaw athletic and academic activities for more than 100 schools in the San Antonio, Texas, region. Taylor worked with athletic directors to oversee various aspects of game management, including creating schedules, booking game locations and hiring officials. 
 
Taylor was a five-year women’s basketball student-athlete at Sun Belt Conference member Texas State. A two-time All-Sun Belt Second Team selection (2021-22, 2022-23) and a two-time Preseason All-Sun Belt pick (Second Team in 2022-23, Third Team in 2021-22), Taylor finished the 2022-23 season as the NCAA Division I active leader in career assists. The 2023 Sun Belt regular-season champion is also the Texas State and Sun Belt all-time leader in career assists. 
 
A native of Dallas, Texas, Taylor holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism (2021), with a concentration in sports, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) (2023) from Texas State University. She was recognized academically as a two-time Sun Belt Commissioner’s List honoree. While a student-athlete, Taylor represented Texas State at the NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum (2018), the Influencer NIL Summit (2022) and the NCAA NIL Stakeholder Meeting (2023).
