THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 26
Troy 3, Arkansas State 1

TROY, Ala. – Troy stumbled in the early goings, but rallied to win its Sun Belt opener over Arkansas State Thursday night in Trojan Arena, 3-1 (21-25, 25-20, 25-21, 25-14). This marks just the second win in school history over the Red Wolves and the first since 2013.

Appalachian State 3, Georgia State 1
BOONE, N.C.
– Appalachian State volleyball defeated Georgia State 23-25, 25-22, 25-18, 25-18 in its Sun Belt opener on Friday evening in the Holmes Center.

Coastal Carolina 3, Georgia Southern 0
CONWAY, S.C.
– Coastal Carolina began its Sun Belt Conference schedule in dominant fashion with a 3-0 (25-16, 25-7, 25-19) win over Georgia Southern on Friday evening at the HTC Center. In addition to being the Chants' conference opener, the contest was Coastal's first at home this season.

UTA 3, ULM 1
ARLINGTON, Texas – For the fifth time in the seven seasons as a member of the Sun Belt Conference, UTA opened conference play with a win, taking down ULM 3-1 (27-29, 25-20, 25-15) on Friday night at College Park Center.

Troy 3, Little Rock 0
TROY, Ala. –
 Troy completed a 2-0 week to open Sun Belt play Friday night with a sweep over Little Rock, 3-0 (25-19, 25-14, 25-16). The win marked the first time in school history the Trojans have defeated Little Rock and Arkansas State in the same season.

South Alabama 3, Arkansas State 1
MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama defeated Arkansas State in four sets (25-21, 22-25, 25-15, 25-14) Friday in the Jaguars' Sun Belt Conference opener at Jag Gym. USA (9-5, 1-0 Sun Belt) extended its home win streak to eight matches, and also snapped a seven-match losing streak to A-State (9-5, 0-2 Sun Belt) with the win.

Texas State 3, Louisiana 1
SAN MARCOS, Texas – A testy match resulted in a 3-1 (25-23, 21-25, 25-13, 25-20) victory for Texas State as the Bobcats topped Louisiana Friday night at Strahan Arena to extend its home winning streak to four.
