Offensive Player of the Week
Janell Fitzgerald, Texas State

Junior outside hitter Janell Fitzgerald paced the Bobcats with 3.82 kills per set against No. 15 Louisiana. She also finished the weekend with 10 digs, seven blocks, including two solos, and two assists. After finishing with seven kills and two blocks in the opening match, Fitzgerald went off for a career-high 24 kills (.320), seven digs and added two more blocks. The junior outside hitter finished the weekend with a team-high 11 kills in the final match of the weekend and also contributed three blocks, two digs, and an assist.

Wells helped lead UTA to a 2-1 series win over Arkansas State. The sophomore recorded 25+ digs in all three matches, highlighted by a career-high 33-dig performance in the first match. Wells has recorded 25+ digs in five of UTA's six matches this season.

Setter of the Week
Emily DeWalt, Texas State
(#17, Jr, S - Helotes, Texas)
Junior setter Emily DeWalt played a big role in Texas State's weekend sweep over No. 15 Louisiana. In the three-match series, DeWalt averaged 12 assists per set, recorded a .476 hitting percentage behind 11 kills, totaled eight blocks, and averaged 3.36 digs per set. She logged her 40th career double-double after registering double-dips in the final two matches in the series. In the first sweep of the weekend, DeWalt finished with 42 assists, nine digs and three kills, and then produced 49 assists, 13 digs, a season-high seven blocks and two kills in the Bobcats' 100th win as a member of the Sun Belt Conference. The Helotes, Texas native concluded the weekend with her second consecutive double-double as she turned in 41 assists, a match-high 15 digs, and a hit a career-best .600 behind six kills on 10 errorless swings to go along with one ace in the second sweep of the series.

Brianna Ford helped lead UTA to a 2-1 record last weekend. Ford registered a double-double in each match. She tallied a career-high 19 kills in Saturday's loss to A-State.
