MEN'S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Zan Luka Stirn, Arkansas State (Senior, Kranj, Slovenia)
Zan Luka Stirn was the top individual finisher among four Sun Belt schools playing at the Border Olympics last week. Stirn finished tied for second among 93 competitors with a total of 211 (-5), his third-lowest three-round total this season. Stirn finished with the low round of the day in the final round as A-State surged to a second place finish among 17 teams and improved to 71-11-2 on the season.
CO-WOMEN'S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Grayson Gladden, Arkansas State (Senior, Helena, Ala.)
Grayson Gladden opened the spring season with back-to-back top-five finishes, including her first career individual medalist honor. At the FAU Winter Warm-Up, Gladden finished fourth among 81 competitors and helped A-State to a first place finish in the team standings. That tournament title was the first for the program outside of its home tournament since the 2014-15 season and a final round 70 helped the Red Wolves tie the school record low round of 284. At the Rio Verde Invitational, Gladden earned her first career individual championship finishing at 1-under for the event and the Red Wolves claimed back-to-back tournament championships for the first time since the 2000-01 season. The individual title for Gladden was the first for an A-State player outside its home event since the 2012-13 season.
Nicole Lorup, Troy (Sophomore, Smørum, Denmark)
Nicole Lorup turned in a pair of top three finishes to open the spring with five of her six rounds at or below par with three rounds in the red ... She now has five top five finishes in seven tournaments and has placed in the top 14 in all seven tournaments this year.
