OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Lauren Teske, Texas State

Sophomore outside hitter Lauren Teske had a career weekend for the Bobcats. She led the team with 4.14 kills per set and matched a team-high three aces, while also averaging 3.71 digs per set and logged two blocks. Teske also had a pair of double-doubles this weekend, beginning with a 10-kill and 12-dig performance in the sweep over Houston Baptist. She followed that performance with a career-high 19 kills, 14 digs, and three aces in the four-set win vs. the Huskies. In that same match, Teske also had two total blocks, including one solo block.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Leigh Maher, Little Rock

Leigh Maher, a transfer from LSU, set a new career-high with 21 digs in Sunday's match against Missouri State. Maher added three assists, also a new career-high mark. In one match with Little Rock she broke career-high marks after two years playing for LSU.
SETTER OF THE WEEK
Emily DeWalt, Texas State
(Jr, S - Helotes, Texas, 17)
Junior setter Emily DeWalt has totaled four consecutive double-doubles after recording a pair this past weekend against Houston Baptist. Overall, DeWalt averaged 12.29 assists per set and had 21 digs, (3.00 per set), six kills, four blocks and two aces. In the sweep vs. HBU, DeWalt had 36 assists and 10 digs, while also hitting .333 with four kills on 12 errorless attacks. She followed that performance with 50 assists, 11 digs, three blocks, two kills and two aces in the four-set victory vs. the Huskies.
FRESHMAN PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Taylor Gates, Louisiana

Reigning Sun Belt Freshman of the Week Taylor Gates turned in a second consecutive week of two-plus kills per set and a .300-plus hitting percentage during Louisiana's sweep of Lamar. Gates averaged 2.5 kills per set on a .316 hitting percentage over 38 total swings. She totaled 15 kills over the six sets, a new season-best overall weekend total for the rookie from Kansas City. Gates stretched her streak of consecutive matches with five or more kills to four straight. The weekend performance was highlighted by an eight-kill effort in the finale with Cardinals, which was generated playing error-free on just 14 swings with a .571 hitting percentage. She helped Louisiana keep its current streak of consecutive sets won (now at 15 straight) by landing five kills throughout a tightly contested second set in Saturday's opener, and had a hand on the block which secured set point in the 27-25 win.
