Troy's Hamm & Georgia State's Leveau Earn Sun Belt Weekly Accolades

NEW ORLEANS – After posting top-two individual finishes and top-three rounds in program history, Troy’s Brent Hamm and Georgia State’s Mahina Leveau earn Sun Belt Golfer of the Week nods.  
 
Men’s Golfer of the Week
Brent Hamm, Troy
(So. – Warner Robins, Ga.) 

Sophomore Brent Hamm became Troy’s first individual medalist since the 2012-13 season when he erased a six-shot deficit to tie for first in the 75-golfer field at The National Intercollegiate. The Warner Robins, Ga., product shot 7-under par 65 in the final round­—with six birdies and two eagles—to charge up the leaderboard at the National Course at Reynolds Lake Oconee. His 12-under par 204 (69-70-65—204) is the best 54-hole score by a Trojan golfer since at least the 2005-06 season, while his final round 7-under 65 is the second-best round in program history. 
 
Women’s Golfer of the Week
Mahina Leveau, Georgia State
(Fr. – Beauvais, France)

In just her fourth collegiate event, freshman Mahina Leveau posted the fourth-lowest 54-hole score in Georgia State program history at 4-under par 212 (74-67-71—212). The Beauvais, France, native tied for second place in the 89-golfer field at the Georgia State Invitational. Leveau carded a 5-under par 67 in the second round, tying for the Panthers lowest round of the year and the third-lowest in program history. Her runner-up effort at Rivermont Golf Club was her third Top 25 finish and second Top 10 in four collegiate starts.
