Georgia Southern, Little Rock, ULM & Coastal Carolina Advance to Match Play at SBC Men's Golf Championship

CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL 

EL DORADO, Ark. – (Round 3 Results | Semifinal Match Pairings) Georgia Southern, Little Rock, ULM and Coastal Carolina advanced to match play following 54 holes of stroke play at the 2021 Sun Belt Conference Men’s Golf Championship. 
 
The Eagles earned the No. 1 seed with a score 35-over par 899 as a team and will take on No. 4-seeded Coastal Carolina in semifinal action beginning at hole No. 1 at 8:30 a.m. CT Wednesday. The Chanticleers earned the all-important No. 4 seed with a score of 52-over par 916 on a birdie by fifth-year senior Zack Taylor on the 18th hole in Tuesday’s final pairing. 
 
Little Rock shot 46-over par 910 as a team to claim the No. 2 seed. The Trojans will square off against No. 3-seeded ULM in the other semifinal match teeing off from hole No. 10 at 8:30 a.m. CT Wednesday. The Warhawks earned a 54-hole score of 50-over par 914 to qualify for match play. 
 
Georgia Southern junior Ben Carr turned in an even-par 72 in the final round of stroke play to earn Sun Belt individual medalist honors. Carr finished 3-over par 219 at the par-72, 7,293-yard Mystic Creek Golf Club. 

Arkansas State (+53, 917), App State (+54, 918), UTA (+57, 921), Louisiana (+66, 930), Georgia State (+81, 945), Texas State (+81, 945), Troy (+93, 957) and South Alabama (+95, 959) rounded out the conference championship field. 
 
Semifinal matches begin at 8:30 a.m. CT on Wednesday and will be broadcast live on ESPN+ and live scored via Golfstat. The championship match will follow the conclusion of semifinal play.
