NEW ORLEANS – Arkansas State’s Macey Putt and Tatum Ticknor, and Troy’s Amara Anderson earned Sun Belt Volleyball Player of the Week honors after standout performances this past weekend. 

Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week
Macey Putt, Arkansas State
(Sr., Ozark, Mo.)

Red Wolves’ senior outside hitter Macey Putt was named to the All-Tournament Team at the SEMO Invitational this past weekend. She totaled 65 kills (4.33 kills per set) to lead Arkansas State to a pair of five-set victories, including a career-high 30 kills against Kansas City. Putt also registered double-doubles in each of her team’s three matches this weekend, giving her eight double-dips in nine matches this year. Putt continues to lead the Sun Belt in total kills (186) and kills per set (4.77). She is also ninth nationally in kills per set. 

Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week
Tatum Ticknor, Arkansas State
(Jr., Grapevine, Texas)

Red Wolves’ junior libero Tatum Ticknor earned All-Tournament Team honors at the SEMO Invitational over the weekend. She posted three consecutive 20-dig outings, with 24 or more digs in each of her team’s three matches. Ticknor also charted six service aces on the weekend, including four in a win against Marshall. 

Volleyball Setter of the Week
Amara Anderson, Troy
(Jr., Alpharetta, Ga.)

Trojans’ junior setter Amara Anderson was named to the Chattanooga Classic All-Tournament Team, totaling 113 assists, six service aces and 32 digs over the weekend. In Troy’s historic win over Virginia Tech, which marked the first time the Trojans have beaten two Power Five schools in the same season, Anderson recorded a double-double with 44 assists and 13 digs with a hitting percentage of .600. She now has four matches with 40 or more assists this season. Anderson leads the Sun Belt and ranks among the top-25 nationally in assists per set with 10.80. This marked Anderson’s second consecutive Sun Belt Setter of the Week honor.
