Little Rock's Lomholt & Arkansas State's Schmidt Earn Sun Belt Golfer of the Week Honors

NEW ORLEANS – After carding personal-best rounds and top five individual finishes, Little Rock’s Magnus Lomholt and Arkansas State’s Olivia Schmidt earn Sun Belt Golfer of the Week nods. 

Men’s Golfer of the Week
Magnus Lomholt, Little Rock
(Jr. – Asnaes, Denmark)  
 
Junior Magnus Lomholt carded three-straight rounds of under-par golf at the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate to place third in the 119-golfer field. The Asnaes, Denmark, product shot 8-under par 208 (70-68-70—208) for the tournament, tied for the ninth-lowest tournament score in Little Rock program history. Lomholt’s 4-under par 68 in the second round was a new career low, while his 8-under par total is tied for the third-lowest versus par finish in Trojan program history. 
 
Women’s Golfer of the Week
Olivia Schmidt, Arkansas State
(Jr. – Edmond, Okla.) 
 
Junior Olivia Schmidt carded a program-record 8-under par 208 (68-66-74—208) at the USA Intercollegiate to place fifth in the 96-golfer field. The Edmond, Okla., native’s second round 6-under par 66 is the second-lowest round in program history and helped Arkansas State to a program-record low round of 6-under par 282 as a team. The Red Wolves’ 54-hole total of 3-over par 867 (293-282-292—867) was also a program best.
