NEW ORLEANS – West Virginia’s Marcus Caldeira has been named the Academic All-America Team Member of the Year for NCAA Division I by the College Sports Communicators, headlining the group of student-athletes named to the 2025 Academic All-America men’s soccer teams.
Caldeira majored in finance and owns a 4.00 grade point average. The forward from is a repeat selection as the Division I Team Member of the Year and is now a three-time first team Academic All-America selection.
Caldeira led West Virginia to a 13-5-3 overall record, while scoring scored a career-high 14 goals, leading the Sun Belt, along with a career-best seven assists for 35 points. He led the Sun Belt with 35 points while ranking fourth in the nation with six game-winning goals. Caldeira was named the Sun Belt Player and Offensive Player of the Year along with earning a spot on the All-Sun Belt First Team.
