UALR beats Central Arkansas 85-71
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) James White scored 23 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead UALR over Central Arkansas 85-71 on Saturday.
White was 10 of 12 from the floor and led five Trojans in double figures as the team shot 55 percent, despite going 4 of 14 on 3-pointers. Josh Hagins had 19 points and Roger Woods had 18.
UALR (4-1) trailed by two with 9:30 left in the first but used an 11-0 run - including a Hagins 3-pointer - to build a 47-37 lead at intermission. The Trojans shot 57 percent in the half and a perfect 10 for 10 from the line.
Central Arkansas (0-6) was 11 of 25 from beyond the arc but couldn't cut into the second half deficit. Mike Martin had 21 points, including five 3-pointers, and Jordan Howard scored 20 points.

Georgia State's Hunters win at IUPUI 66-63
INDIANAPOLIS -- Georgia State coach Ron Hunter made a successful return to his former school with the help of his son, R.J. Hunter, who scored 27 points in a 66-63 victory over IUPUI on Saturday.
Ron Hunter won 275 games in 17 seasons at IUPUI before going to Georgia State in March 2011.
R.J. Hunter hit his only 3-pointer with 45 seconds remaining to give the Panthers (5-2) the lead at 62-60. Teammate Ryann Green added a pair of 3-pointers before P.J. Boutte hit a 3 for IUPUI. Hunter made two more free throws with 10 seconds left for the final score.
Hunter struggled from beyond the arc, missing six long-distance shots, but was 7 of 11 otherwise and 10 of 11 from the free-throw line. Ryan Harrow added 21 points.
Marcellus Barksdale led the Jaguars (2-4) with 22 points. Boutte added 12 and DavRon Williams had 10.

Georgia Southern beats SC State 71-58
STATESBORO, Ga. (AP) Jelani Hewitt scored 23 points and Trent Wiedeman added 18 to lead Georgia Southern to a 71-58 victory over South Carolina State on Saturday.
SC State led 53-52 with 8:31 to play. Jake Allsmiller hit back-to-back 3-pointers, Angel Matias scored five points and Hewitt made seven free throws as Georgia Southern surged on a 19-6 run to win it. The Bulldogs shot 2 of 13 from the field in the final seven minutes.
Mike Hughes scored 11 points and Matias had 10 for Georgia Southern (4-1).
Karon Wright drained back-to-back 3s and Darryl Palmer scored to help SC State to a 35-31 halftime lead. The Bulldogs had a six-point lead, 38-33 when Wright scored his fifth trey with 19:05 remaining.
Wright finished with 17 points and Tashombe Riley added 10 to lead SC State (1-4).
