Trojans Roll to Victory in Dothan

DOTHAN, Alabama – Troy set a school record with 27 steals as the Trojans rolled over Thomas University, 110-55, at the Dothan Civic Center on Monday.

The Trojans forced 45 turnovers, the most since at least 2007, and scored 48 points off Thomas miscues.

La'Tia Fils-Aime' led Troy with a career-high 17 points while Dajia Williams recorded her first career double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. In total, four Trojans scored in double figures as Arjae' Saunders and Claresa Banks scored 12 points each.

Troy (2-1) led for all but 29 seconds of the contest against the NAIA side from Thomasville, Ga., and shot 44 percent (40-90) as a team taking the most shots since firing off 99 attempts at Georgia Southern on Feb. 19, 2015. Troy also scored 28 points from the free throw line in the game.

All 12 Trojans that played in the game scored including career-highs from Fils-Aime', Harriet Winchester (9), Jessie Day (6) and Amber Rivers (9).

UP NEXT
Troy travels to Daytona Beach, Fla., for the relocated San Juan Shootout. The Trojans take on Villanova on Thursday at 4:45 p.m. (CT) before squaring off with Loyola Chicago on Friday at 2:30 p.m.

NOTEWORTHY
• It was the 13th time the Trojans have scored 100-plus points under Chanda Rigby. Troy eclipsed the plateau six times last season.

• Troy's 110 points was the most since landing 112 against Texas State last season.

• Claresa Banks has recorded 13 steals in three games this season.

• The Trojans were 28-37 (75.7 percent) from the charity stripe.
