WHAT COACH BRIAN DUNLEAVY SAID
"We showed great character on the road to come from behind twice. We have to do a better job at keeping things tight defensively, Winthrop is a very hard working team and at times we didn't match their work ethic. The game wasn't pretty but the positives are that we came away with a positive result. To our credit, we scored three outstanding goals, the finishing was also pure quality. It's time for us to take another step forward and improve as a group."
NEXT UP
The Eagles return home next weekend to wrap up their preseason slate against Kennesaw State (9/9) and South Florida (9/11). Sun Belt play will begin on Sept. 15th against UL Monroe.
