Georgia Southern 68, Coastal Georgia 46
STATESBORO, Ga. – Georgia Southern women's basketball notched its second win in a row, using a big fourth quarter to pull away from the College of Coastal Georgia, 68-46, on Friday afternoon at Hanner Fieldhouse.
The Eagles improved to 4-5 with the win in front of a crowd of 2,278 at Hanner on the fourth annual School Field Trip Day. Students, teachers and chaperones from 10 different area schools - Langston Chapel Middle, the Transition Learning Center, Statesboro High School, Southeast Bulloch Middle, Mill Creek Elementary, William James Middle, Portal Middle, Brooklet Elementary, Langston Chapel Elementary and Southeast Bulloch Pre-K - packed the gym and watched Georgia Southern knock off the Mariners, an NAIA school out of Brunswick, Ga., for whom Friday's contest was an exhibition.
Nicholls State 55, ULM 54
Monroe, La. - Cassidy Barrios hit an off-balance runner from 15-feet out with nine seconds left, lifting Nicholls State to a 55-54 win over ULM Friday night at Fant-Ewing Coliseum, ending ULM's five-game winning streak.
Barrios, the reigning Player of the Year in the Southland Conference, scored 23 of her 27 points in the second half, leading the Colonels' (5-5) charge to rally from a 23-point third quarter deficit for the win.
ULM (5-3) led 33-10 with 7:55 to play in the third quarter following a three-pointer from Amber Thompson to cap a 7-0 run to open the half. After that, Nicholls outscored ULM 45-21 to pick up the win.

Jacksonville State 61, Georgia State 56 (OT)
JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – Georgia State fell 61-56 in overtime Saturday to Jacksonville State at the Pete Mathews Coliseum.
Walnatia Wright recorded her third double-double of the season, leading GSU in points with 14 points and rebounds with 13.
It was the first event held in the Pete Mathews Coliseum since a tornado caused significant damage back in March. For the Panthers, it was the second straight overtime contest after the Panthers downed Kennesaw State on overtime on Thursday.
