MEMPHIS – Kyra Collier led Little Rock with 15 points as the Trojans held off a late Memphis comeback to leave the Roane Fieldhouse with a 63-30 win, its seventh straight against the Tigers and the fourth when playing in Memphis.
Ronjanae DeGray and Teal Battle added 11 and 10 points, respectively, while Raeyana DeGray and Sydney Chastain individually logged nine and eight points. Collier paced the team on the glass with five boards and eight other Trojans also secured at least one rebound. Chastain and Terrion Moore each dished out five assists.
South Alabama 84, FIU 77
MIAMI, Fla. - The University of South Alabama women's basketball team won the FIU Holiday Tournament beating Florida International 81-74 in double-overtime on Friday afternoon at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center.
The Jags took a ten-point lead into halftime before letting the Panthers climb back into the game. FIU eventually took a six-point lead in the fourth quarter and the game went back-and-forth from there before eventually heading into overtime.
Georgia State 62, Bethune-Cookman 54
ATLANTA - Allison Johnson scored 17 points with six rebounds and Walnatia Wright tallied her fourth double-double of the season to lead Georgia State to a 62-54 win over Bethune-Cookman Friday at the GSU Sports Arena.
Wright finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Jada Lewis also finished in double figures with 14 points to go with four assists and three steals.
