Appalachian State 77, Texas State 56
BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University women's basketball (12-9, 6-4 SBC) put forth an all-around effort in a 77-56 throttling over Texas State (9-13, 4-6 SBC) on Education Day in the Holmes Center.

Appalachian was dominant on both sides of the ball, limiting to Texas State to just 35.5 percent shooting from the floor, while holding the Sun Belt's second-leading scorer, Toshua Leavitt (16.7 ppg), to just 4-of-21 shooting and 10 points. Leavitt scored all 10 of her points in the first quarter before missing her final 13 shots from the floor.

UTA 67, Coastal Carolina 64
CONWAY, S.C. - The Lady Mavericks struggled shooting the basketball, but picked up a hard-fought, 67-64, Sun Belt Conference win at Coastal Carolina on Thursday night at the HTC Center.

With the win, UTA snaps CCU's three-game winning streak and improves to 17-5 overall (9-2 SBC), while Coastal Carolina falls to 11-10 on the season and 3-7 in conference play.

Georgia Southern 79, Louisiana 71
STATESBORO - Georgia Southern sophomore Tatum Barber collected her first career double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds, while the Eagles bench chipped in 34 points to help GS pick up its second Sun Belt Conference win with Thursday night's 79-71 victory over visiting Louisiana at Hanner Fieldhouse.

The Eagles improved to 7-14 overall and 2-8 in the Sun Belt with the win, while the Ragin' Cajuns fell to 6-16 overall and 4-7 in the Sun Belt with the loss.

Little Rock 76, Troy 72
LITTLE ROCK- Four Trojans would finish in double figures as they grabbed an extremely important 76-72 win over the visiting Troy Trojans. Little Rock used an incredible three-minute stretch in the fourth quarter to pull away in late in the game and keep their hold of first place in the Sun Belt Conference

Ronjanae DeGray led the way with 19 points while Terrion Moore put in yet another great performance with 16 points of her own. Kyra Collier found her rhythm late in the fourth quarter to notch 16 points and eight rebounds and Tori Lasker hit some clutch threes down the stretch to tally a total of 14 points.
