Georgia Southern, Little Rock, UTA & Georgia State Advance to Match Play

, Ark. – (Round 3 Results) Georgia Southern, Little Rock, UTA and Georgia State advanced to match play following 54 holes of stroke play at the 2022 Sun Belt Conference Men’s Golf Championship. 
 
The Eagles earned the No. 1 seed with a score of 25-over par 889 as a team—and a tiebreaker win over Little Rock—and will take on No. 4-seeded Georgia State in semifinal action beginning at hole No. 1 at 8:30 a.m. CT Wednesday. The Panthers carded a score of 40-over par 904 to earn the all-important No. 4 slot after 54 holes. 
 
Little Rock also shot 25-over par 889 as a team to claim the No. 2 seed. The Trojans will square off against No. 3-seeded UTA in the other semifinal match teeing off from hole No. 10 at 8:30 a.m. CT Wednesday. The Mavericks earned a 54-hole score of 36-over par 900 to qualify for match play. 
 
Texas State senior Evan White turned in a 2-under par 70 in the final round of stroke play to earn Sun Belt individual medalist honors. White finished even par 216 (72-74-70—216) at the par-72, 7,318-yard Mystic Creek Golf Club. 
 
Coastal Carolina (+41, 905), ULM (+42, 906), Texas State (+43, 907), South Alabama (+46, 910), Troy (+49, 913), App State (+49, 913), Arkansas State (+52, 916) and Louisiana (+52, 916) rounded out the conference championship field. 
 
Semifinal matches begin at 8:30 a.m. CT on Wednesday and will be broadcast live on ESPN+ and live scored via Golfstat. The championship match will follow the conclusion of semifinal play.
