NEW ORLEANS — Arkansas State, Georgia Southern and Southern Miss, along with individual competitors from Coastal Carolina, Louisiana and South Alabama, will participate in the 2026 NCAA Men’s Golf Regionals.
Arkansas State captured the 2026 Sun Belt Conference Men’s Golf Championship, marking its second title since 2024. The Red Wolves earned the No. 8 seed in the Marana Regional, which will be held at The Gallery Golf Club in Arizona.
In Marana, Arkansas State will compete against top-seeded Oklahoma State, along with LSU, Arizona, Alabama, Duke, Clemson, San Diego State, West Virginia, Florida Gulf Coast, St. Mary’s, Tarleton State, North Dakota State, and Iona.
Georgia Southern received an at-large bid and will compete in the Corvallis Regional at Trysting Tree Golf Club. The Eagles join Arkansas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Charlotte, UCLA, Notre Dame, San Diego, Purdue, Oregon State, Liberty, Xavier and Sacramento State.
Southern Miss also earned an at-large bid and will play in the Athens Regional at the University of Georgia Golf Club. The field includes top-ranked Auburn, as well as Illinois, Vanderbilt, BYU, Georgia, Louisville, Kansas, Northwestern, College of Charleston, Rice, Harvard and Howard.
Four individuals from Sun Belt programs also earned regional bids. Coastal Carolina’s Max Bengtsson and Drew Sykes, Louisiana’s Malan Potgieter and South Alabama’s Hugo Thyr will compete in the Athens Regional.
Regional play in the 2026 NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championships is scheduled for May 18–20 at six sites nationwide. Three regionals will feature 13 teams and 10 individual competitors not on those teams, while the other three will include 14 teams and five individuals.
The top five teams from each regional, along with the lowest-scoring individual not on an advancing team, will move on to the NCAA Championships, set for May 29–June 3 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.
