Coastal Carolina Maintains the Lead After Second Round of Sun Belt Men's Golf Championship

MADISON, Miss. – Coastal Carolina leads the field after the second round of the 2026 Sun Belt Men’s Golf Championship.

The defending champions shot three-under par (285) in round two to take the top spot on the team leaderboard, holding a three stroke advantage over the field.

James Madison is in second place at six-under par, followed by Arkansas State in third at five-under. Southern Miss sits fourth at four-under, while South Alabama rounds out the top five at one-over par.

Individually, Coastal Carolina’s Max Bengtsson fired a six-under (66) in the second round, bringing his 36-hole total to eight-under par to lead the field. Arkansas State’s Jake Wallis is alone in second at seven-under, one stroke back. ULM’s Louis Anceaux is third at six-under, while South Alabama’s Hugo Thyr sits in fourth at five-under.

The third round of stroke play begins at 8:00 a.m. CT on Wednesday and will be broadcast live on ESPN+ and live scored on Scoreboard.
