NEW ORLEANS — Texas State’s Tristan Stivors, Coastal Carolina’s Tyler Johnson and Georgia Southern’s Noah Ledford earned
All-America recognition from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) following the conclusion of the 2022 season that saw four Sun Belt teams represent the conference in NCAA Baseball Regionals for the first time since 2013.
Stivors, a senior relief pitcher, was recognized as a NCBWA First Team All-American. Johnson, a senior designated hitter, was a Second Team All-America pick. Ledford, a junior designated hitter, was listed as a Third Team All-American.
Stivors carried a staff-low 2.21 ERA during his senior campaign, while leading the nation with 18 saves and boasting a 7-1 mark on the hill. He held opposing hitters to a .210 batting average and struck out 86.
Both of the All-Sun Belt designated hitters were also honored by the NCBWA. Johnson hit .357 and slugged .754 with 19 home runs, 11 doubles, 42 runs scored and 61 RBI to land Second Team All-America accolades. Ledford hit .348 and slugged .665 with 17 home runs, 19 doubles, 47 runs scored and 70 RBI to earn Third Team All-America recognition.
Stivors and Ledford were each First Team All-Sun Belt honorees this season, while Johnson was a Second Team All-Sun Belt pick.
Stivors and Ledford also received
ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I All-America nods.
