NEW ORLEANS – Sun Belt baseball programs were well-represented on All-America teams following the 2023 campaign in which the conference sent four teams to NCAA Baseball Regionals for the second-straight season.  
 
Sun Belt Pitcher of the Year and All-Sun Belt First Team starting pitcher Tanner Hall of Southern Miss headlined the honorees as a First Team All-America selection by Baseball America, Collegiate Baseball Newspaper (CBN), D1Baseball, the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) and Perfect Game and a Second Team All-America pick by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and the College Baseball Foundation (CBF).  
 
All-Sun Belt First Team relief pitcher Teddy Sharkey of Coastal Carolina earned Second Team All-American status from CBF, CBN and NCBWA and a Third Team All-America nod from Perfect Game. 
 
Sun Belt Player and Newcomer of the Year and All-Sun Belt First Team outfielder Shane Lewis of Troy was a Second Team All-America selection by NCBWA and a Third Team All-America honoree by ABCA and CBN. 
 
Derek Bender of Coastal Carolina—the All-Sun Belt First Team designated hitter—was dubbed a First Team All-American by ABCA and a Second Team All-American by NCBWA. 
 
Relief pitcher Justin Storm of Southern Miss rounded out the Sun Belt’s All-America honors as an ABCA Third Teamer. 
 
A pair of Sun Belt student-athletes—designated hitter Slade Wilks of Southern Miss and infielder William Sullivan of Troy—reaped College Sports Communicators Third Team Academic All-America recognition. 
 
Five Sun Belt freshmen—led by Sun Belt Freshman of the Year and All-Sun Belt First Team catcher Caden Bodine of Coastal Carolina—combined to earn 10 Freshman All-America nods. 
 
Joining Bodine in achieving Freshman All-America status were Arkansas State starting pitcher Kyler Carmack, Coastal Carolina third baseman Blake Barthol, Old Dominion relief pitcher Ben Moore and Texas State second baseman Chase Mora.
