NEW ORLEANS – The 2025 Sun Belt Conference Softball Championship will be hosted by Troy University at the Troy Softball Complex, the conference office announced on Monday.
The 10-team single-elimination tournament is scheduled to take place from May 7-10, 2025, in Troy, Ala.
“We look forward to returning to Troy for the 2025 Sun Belt Conference Softball Championship,” said Sun Belt Conference Commissioner Keith Gill. “As one of the nation’s premier softball leagues and a consistent multi-bid conference, we anticipate a first-class experience for our student-athletes and fans at the Troy Softball Complex next spring.”
“Troy has a long history hosting the Sun Belt Conference Softball Championship, and we look forward to once again welcoming our conference partners to our beautiful campus and our amazing Troy Softball Complex in 2025,” said Troy Director of Athletics Brent Jones. “On behalf of Chancellor Hawkins, our university administration, and athletics department we would like to thank Commissioner Gill and the Sun Belt Conference for entrusting Troy University with hosting this prestigious event, and we will work tirelessly to put on another first-class event.”
This will be the fifth time that the Troy Softball Complex has served as the host site for the Sun Belt Conference championship. The Trojans home facility previously hosted the tournament in 2008, 2013, 2017 and 2021.
Four programs have earned the Sun Belt Softball Championship title since the tournament began in 2000. Louisiana holds 18 all-time tournament championships—including each of the past four—followed by South Alabama with three and Texas State and former member Florida Atlantic with one.
