NFCA Honors 15 Sun Belt Softball Players on 2026 All-Region Teams

NEW ORLEANS – Fifteen Sun Belt Conference softball standouts received National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division I All-Region Team recognition for the 2026 season.

Two James Madison standouts represented the Sun Belt as the league’s only First Team selections, as redshirt junior utility/pitcher Payton List and junior shortstop Kendra Lewis earned nods on the top team in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Five more Sun Belt players received Second Team honors, and eight others garnered Third Team recognition.

The Sun Belt’s 15 all-region selections are the most among non-autonomy conferences this season and marks the 12th-consecutive season the Sun Belt has had double-digit honorees.

Six Sun Belt programs received two all-region picks, including App State, James Madison, Louisiana, Marshall, Texas State and Troy. Additionally, Coastal Carolina, Georgia State and South Alabama had one honoree apiece.

The 2026 NFCA Division I All-America teams, voted on by the NFCA DI All-American Committee, will be announced on Wednesday, May 27.
