MADISON, Miss. – The 14 Sun Belt men’s golf programs will tee off in the 2025 Sun Belt Men’s Golf Championship from Monday, April 21 through Thursday, April 24, at Annandale Golf Club in Madison, Miss.
The tournament will be the third-straight held on the par-72, 7,157-yard course. The teams will tee off from split tees, beginning at 8:30 a.m. CT, with six teams teeing off on No. 1 and eight teams starting on No. 10.
The top four teams from the 54-hole stroke play portion of the event will advance to match play on Thursday, April 24. The semifinal matches will tee off beginning at 7:30 a.m. CT—with the No. 4 seed and the No. 1 seed on No. 1 and the No. 3 seed and the No. 2 seed on No. 10. The championship match will tee off from No. 1 following the conclusion of the semifinal matches.
Arkansas State is the event’s reigning champion, having won the 2024 Sun Belt Men’s Golf Championship with a 3-2-0 victory over ULM in the championship match. The Red Wolves were the No. 1 seed entering match play and took down No. 4-seeded Texas State, 3-1-0, to advance to the championship final. No. 3-seeded ULM took down No. 2-seeded Marshall, 3-1-0, in their semifinal match.
Troy enters the tournament as the only Sun Belt team in the top 50 of the national rankings at 49. They have a 283.1 adjusted scoring average and have placed in the top five in five tournaments this spring.
Louisiana (No. 67), Arkansas State (No. 72), Georgia Southern (No. 78), Coastal Carolina (No. 92) and South Alabama (No. 98) are each listed among the Top 100 teams nationally in the latest SCOREBOARD NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Rankings. Troy’s Brantley Scott (No. 33) highlights the Sun Belt golfers that are individually ranked among the Top 100, along with Louisiana’s Malan Potgieter (No. 66) and ULM’s Louis Anceaux (No. 77)
South Alabama’s Hugo Thyr returns to the tournament field and is the back-to-back reigning Sun Belt individual champion, after finishing 4-under par 212 (70-74-68—212) and winning in a playoff in last year’s tournament.
South Alabama paces all current Sun Belt men’s golf programs with 10 all-time team championships, while Louisiana (4), Georgia Southern (2), Troy (2), Arkansas State (2), Coastal Carolina (1) and Georgia State (1) also claim Sun Belt titles.
All three rounds of stroke play, along with Thursday’s semifinal and championship matches, will be
broadcast live on ESPN+ and
live scored on Scoreboard.
