Arkansas State Continues to Pace the Field in 2025 Sun Belt Men's Golf Championship

MADISON, Miss. – Arkansas State continues to pace the 14-team field at the 2025 Sun Belt Men’s Golf Championship after two rounds of stroke play. 

The Red Wolves were even on the day 288 and total 566 (-10) through the first two rounds of stroke play, maintaining a four stroke lead over the field at Annandale Golf Club.

Two Red Wolves, Jack Maxey and Thomas Schmidt, along with Louisiana’s Eli Ortego, sit at the top of the individual leader board with a score of 5-under par through two rounds. 
 
Coastal Carolina moved into second place by shooting 3-under par 285 on the day, while Georgia Southern moved into Wednesday’s top pairing with a 4-under par 284. 

Louisiana and Troy are tied for fourth place heading into the final round of stroke play, looking to secure a spot in Thursday’s match play rounds.

Texas State climbed the leader board with the best team card of the day at 7-under par 281 to move into sixth place. Now within striking distance of a top four seed that would advance them into match play on Thursday. 

The third and final round of stroke play begins at 8:30 a.m. CT on Wednesday and will be broadcast live on ESPN+ and live scored on Scoreboard.
