NEW ORLEANS – West Virginia’s Pablo Pozos and Georgia Southern’s Noah Holmstrom earn the first Sun Belt men’s soccer weekly honors of the 2025 season.

Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
Pablo Pozos, West Virginia

In his debut match as a Mountaineer Pozos netted a hat trick in the team’s 5-2 win over Manhattan. All three of the junior’s goals were scored within the first 35 minutes of the match. Pozos is one of just five players to have a hat trick in the 2025 seasons opening weekend.

Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Noah Holmstrom, Georgia Southern

Holmstrom helped the Eagles defense keep a clean sheet in their first two matches of the season against Charlotte and UNCW. It is the second time in program history that Georgia Southern has started the season with consecutive clean sheets. In the match against Charlotte, Holmstrom would also add on the assist on the Eagles' first goal of 2025.
