Sun Belt Men’s Basketball’s Georgia Southern at Marshall February 27 Matchup Elevated to ESPN2 Broadcast

NEW ORLEANS – The Sun Belt Conference, in conjunction with ESPN, announced that the Friday, February 27 men’s basketball matchup between Georgia Southern and Marshall will be televised nationally on ESPN2 with a 9 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. CT tipoff at the Cam Henderson Center in Huntington, W.Va.

The game is the fourth and final wildcard appearance for the Sun Belt on the ESPN Family of Networks during the 2025-26 season. Marshall and Georgia Southern will also play under the national spotlight on Saturday, February 14 at 8:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. CT on ESPNU.

The game will mark the second of two regular season matchups between Marshall (16-8, 8-4 SBC) and Georgia Southern (14-12, 6-7 SBC). The Thundering Herd own an 11-3 record at home this season, as the linear network broadcast will be the first at the Henderson Center since Feb. 5, 2025 when Arkansas State visited.

As part of the Sun Belt’s comprehensive media rights partnership with ESPN, which runs through the 2030-31 academic year, the Worldwide Leader in Sports will also broadcast the championship games of the 2026 Visit Pensacola Sun Belt Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships presented by Air Force Reserve on Monday, March 9. The men’s basketball championship game will air at 7 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. CT on ESPN or ESPN2 at the Pensacola Bay Center in Pensacola, Fla.
