NEW ORLEANS – Following key performances in weekend series wins, Southern Miss’ Grayden Harris and Georgia Southern’s James McCoy reaped Sun Belt baseball weekly honors. 
 
Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Grayden Harris, Southern Miss 
(So., LHP – Greenwell Springs, La.)
 
Golden Eagles sophomore left-handed pitcher Grayden Harris struck out a career-high 13 batters over a career-high 7.0 innings in a 6-1 series-clinching victory over North Alabama. The Greenwell Springs, La., retired 15 batters in a row during the win, including striking out the side twice and posting at least two strikeouts in five different frames. After holding opponents to a .130 batting average, Harris improved his ERA to 3.00 en route to his third win of the season.
 
Baseball Player of the Week
James McCoy, Georgia Southern  
(RS Sr., OF – Port St. Joe, Fla.)  
 
Eagles redshirt senior outfielder James McCoy hit .471 (7-for-17) and slugged 1.118 in a 2-2 week for Georgia Southern, including a weekend series win over Tennessee Tech. The Port St. Joe, Fla., product registered two doubles and three home runs—including the longest hit at J.I. Clements Stadium at 485 feet. McCoy posted back-to-back four-hit, five-RBI games in the two Eagles victories, accumulating seven runs scored and 10 RBI on the week.
