NEW ORLEANS – Southern Miss’ senior Zuzanna Michalska and freshman Abby Lewis have been named Sun Belt Conference Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week after recording a pair of impressive wins at the Tiger Beach Challenge in Baton Rouge, La.

The honor is the second in as many weeks for the Golden Eagles after teammates Laurel Dennis and Sadie McAda claimed Week 1 recognition from the Sun Belt.

Michalska and Lewis posted a 2-2 record at the second flight in the Tiger Beach Challenge, notching wins over duos from No. 12 LSU and No. 18 Washington. They opened the weekend by stunning the 12th-ranked Tigers’ second pairing in straight sets on Feb. 27 before beginning the next day with a victory over the 18th-ranked Huskies’ No. 2 pair in consecutive sets.
