NEW ORLEANS – One day after winning its third consecutive Sun Belt Conference Beach Volleyball Championship, Georgia State received the No. 15 seed in the 2025 National Collegiate Beach Volleyball Championship during the NCAA Selection Show.
The 2025 NCAA National Collegiate Beach Volleyball Championship is scheduled for May 2-4 at Gulf Shores Public Beach in Gulf Shores, Ala. The Panthers will square off against Big 12 Conference champion and second-seeded TCU (28-5) on Friday, May 2 at 12 p.m. CT, and the match be televised nationally on ESPN2.
Georgia State (22-16) earned an automatic bid to the tournament after registering a perfect 4-0 record at the Sun Belt Championship in Foley, Ala. The Panthers defeated College of Charleston and UNCW in the first two rounds before outlasting Coastal Carolina in the semifinals and UNCW once more in the title match to continue their reign over the league.
Under the direction of head coach Beth Van Fleet, Georgia State is led by multiple All-Sun Belt First Team selections in No. 1 pair Ayla Johnson and Aree Keller and No. 2 pair Destiny White and Savannah Ebarb. Additionally, Michaela Jefferson and Danica Singleton received All-Sun Belt Second Team honors.
At the Sun Belt Championship, Johnson and Keller earned the tournament’s award for Most Outstanding Pair while Jefferson and Singleton were named to the all-tournament team.
