NEW ORLEANS – After winning its fourth-straight Sun Belt Beach Volleyball Championship, Georgia State
earned the No. 15 seed in the 2026 National Collegiate Beach Volleyball Championship.
The postseason event will take place from May 1-3 at Gulf Place in Gulf Shores, Ala. Gulf Shores has served as the championship’s host since its inception in 2016.
The Panthers will take on Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) champion and No. 2-seeded Texas (26-6) at 2 p.m. ET/1 p.m. CT on Friday, May 1, with the match being nationally televised on ESPN2.
Georgia State (21-18) earned the Sun Belt’s automatic berth into the tournament after posting an unblemished 4-0 mark at the Sun Belt Beach Volleyball Championship in Foley, Ala. The four-time reigning Sun Belt champion Panthers are 16-0 all-time in Sun Belt tournament action.
Under the direction of head coach Beth Van Fleet, Georgia State is led by multiple All-Sun Belt pairings in First Teamers freshman Bella Troncale and junior Savannah Ebarb at the No. 1 flight and Second Teamers junior Michaela Jefferson and sophomore Danica Singleton at the No. 2 flight.
The Panthers No. 5 tandem of redshirt junior Kaylie Drysdale and junior Ellie Neville earned All-Tournament Team recognition at the Sun Belt Beach Volleyball Championship—winning each of their four matches—while the No. 4 pairing of sophomore Kealy Dirner and sophomore Ella Mozeleski were named the Pair of the Tournament following four straight-sets victories en route to Georgia State's fourth-straight title.
