Georgia Southern’s Barth, Arkansas State’s Maloney and Coastal Carolina’s Musick Earn Sun Belt Volleyball Weekly Honors

NEW ORLEANS – Georgia Southern’s Reagan Barth, Arkansas State’s Mia Maloney and Coastal Carolina’s Kaylee Musick each turned in impressive performances to lead in various statistics across the league. They have been named Sun Belt Conference Volleyball Players of the Week.
 
Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week
Reagan Barth, Georgia Southern
(4th Yr., OH, Lenexa, Kan.)
 
Georgia Southern’s Reagan Barth was named the GATA Challenge Tournament MVP after recording 43 kills on a .327 hitting percentage. Barth led the league in kills per set (3.90) and hitting percentage (.327) this week, while ranking fourth in points per set (4.45). She was the only player to appear in the top ten in all three categories throughout the league. Barth started the week with seven in a 3-0 win against Prairie View A&M. She then achieved 13 kills with a serve ace and 14.5 points in a 3-0 win against Radford. Barth closed out the weekend with 23 kills, a pair of serve aces and 27.5 points in a 3-2 win against Eastern Kentucky.
 
Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week
Mia Maloney, Arkansas State
(4th Yr., L, Louisville, Ky.)
 
Arkansas State libero Mia Maloney led the Sun Belt with 69 digs (5.31 per set) to help the Red Wolves secure a weekend sweep of Bowling Green, Northern Kentucky and 2025 Patriot League champion American. The Louisville native posted 25 digs in a 3-2 win over the Falcons and followed with 26 against the Norse in a 3-1 victory that completed the doubleheader on Sept. 4. She recorded the second and third-highest single-game digs total by a Sun Belt player during the week of Aug. 30-Sept. 5. In the weekend finale versus the Eagles, Maloney recorded 18 digs in another 3-1 win. Her efforts helped Arkansas State limit the opposition to a combined .163 hitting percentage.
 
Volleyball Setter of the Week
Kaylee Musick, Coastal Carolina
(3rd Yr., S, Canal Winchester, Ohio)
 
Coastal Carolina’s Kaylee Musick aided the Chanticleers to a 2-1 record at the Dolphin Volleyball Classic with four-set wins over host Jacksonville and 2025 MEAC champion Florida A&M. Musick collected 109 assists and 25 digs during the three matches. She posted a pair of double-doubles with 33 assists and 10 digs against UConn, and 43 assists with 11 digs vs. FAMU. Musick distributed a career-high 43 assists against FAMU and posted a season-high 11 digs against FAMU. She also set career-highs for kills (3) and service aces (3) against Jacksonville.
