Sun Belt announces Men’s Basketball Player of the Week (Dec. 6)

Kevin Hervey (UTA, Junior, Forward, Interdisciplinary Studies)
Started UTA’s three wins last week, on the road at in-state rivals Texas and North Texas and at home against Division III UT Dallas … Averaged 17.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game … registered back-to-back double-doubles for the first time this season on the road at Texas and North Texas … led the team in scoring and rebounding in both games … both games were season highs for minutes played after returning from last year’s knee injury … scored 6 points with 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals in the second half at Texas, the team’s first win over the Longhorns in series history … shot .500 from the field and .788 from the free throw line for the week … shot 8-13 from the field in the victory at North Texas … only played 21 minutes In the blowout win over UT Dallas, scoring 12 points on 4-7 shooting (which included a perfect 4-of-4 from behind the 3-point arc.).
