WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Coastal Carolina men's soccer team had not played another opponent since a 1-0 win over UAB back on Sept. 2. After fleeing Conway to get away from Hurricane Florence the Chants made it back on the pitch against William & Mary and picked up where they left off; a shutout victory. The Chants got a second half goal from Yazeed Matthews in the 78th minute and added an own goal in the 89th minute to pull out the 2-0 victory over the Tribe.

Howard University Men's Soccer team opened its three-match home stand with a narrow 1-0 loss at the hands of Robert Morris.
Appalachian State 1, UNC Greensboro 0
BOONE, N.C. – Sophomore Reed Hunnicutt's second-half goal lifted Appalachian State University men's soccer (5-1-1) to an impressive 1-0 triumph against a stout UNCG (3-5) squad on Saturday evening at Ted Mackorell Soccer Complex. Appalachian got back on the winning track to stay undefeated at home with a 3-0 mark, while the Mountaineers matched last season's win total. App's 5-1-1 start is the best start since the 2007 campaign when the Black and Gold started 5-0-2. App State has outscored its opponents, 6-1, with a pair of shutouts in the three home victories.
East Tennessee State 2, Georgia Southern 1
STATESBORO, Ga. – Friday evening the Georgia Southern men's soccer team was in action against East Tennessee State University. The Bucs defeated the Eagles 2-1, scoring in the late minutes off of an own goal deflection. The Eagles would fall to 3-3-1 on the season and will now have a week between matches due to Wednesday's match against Winthrop being canceled.
Georgia State 1, Mercer 0
MACON, Ga. – Georgia State men’s soccer shutout in-state foe Mercer 1-0 Saturday night at Betts Stadium and extended its win streak to six games, the first time the Panthers have won six straight in over 30 years. The win boosted GSU to 6-2-0 overall while Mercer fell to 4-2-2 on the season. The last time the Panthers won six in a row was the 1987 season, a year where the team finished 11-6-2 and won the TAAC (now the Atlantic Sun). Georgia State’s six-game winning streak is the fourth-longest active streak in NCAA Division I, behind only Air Force, Indiana, Saint Mary’s and Wake Forest.
