– Troy's offense shined recording 12 hits to power the Trojans past Coastal Carolina, 11-3, in six innings and snap its five-game slump Friday afternoon at Charles Wade-John Lott Field.

– Savannah Freeman allowed just two hits as she threw a complete-game shutout Friday to defeat Appalachian State 1-0 in Game 1 of the three-game series.

UTA 7, Georgia Southern 1 - Game 1
ARLINGTON, Texas
– UTA (15-14, 5-3 Sun Belt) took the first game of the series with Georgia Southern 7-1. Randi Phillips (8-7) picked up the start, tossing a complete game.  She allowed just one run, occurring in the seventh inning. 

Georgia Southern 10, UTA 3 - Game 2
ARLINGTON, Texas – Georgia Southern started quickly in the nightcap, getting a two-run double from Mekhia Freeman, then RBI singles from Shelby Wilson and Ashlynn Gunter to take a 4-0 lead and go on to a 10-3 victory.

Louisiana 11, South Alabama 7
MOBILE, Ala. – Paced by a season-high tying four home runs and multiple runs scored in four different innings No. 9 Louisiana outslugged South Alabama 11-7 in the opening game of a Sun Belt Conference series at Jaguar Field.

MONROE, La.
– Texas State (13-15, 3-4 Sun Belt) survived a nail-biting 2-1 decision over ULM (4-24, 1-6 Sun Belt) on Friday evening at the ULM Softball Complex.
