ATLANTA –Georgia State scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth to take a late lead against Hofstra Sunday, but the Pride came out on top 10-8 in eight innings at the Bob Heck Softball Complex.

CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina swept their pair of Sunday games against UNLV (14-4) and Jacksonville (6-10) on the last day of the Chanticleer Showdown to improve to 16-4 on the season. The Chanticleer pitching came up big on the day as sophomore Kaitlin Beasley-Polko and senior Ashley Guillette combined for two complete games. The duo combined to give up two runs, scatter ten hits, and record 16 strikeouts. 

Georgia Southern 10, Siena 2
MADEIRA BEACH, Fla. – Georgia Southern wrapped up action in the Madeira Beach Invitational by picking up a 10-2 win in five innings over Siena on Sunday in Madeira Beach, Fla.

Troy 8, Penn 3
CLEARWATER, Fla. – Troy used a pair of big innings to push past Penn, 8-3, in the Sunday afternoon finale of the USF Invitational. Troy scored four runs in the third and sixth innings to finish the weekend 4-1 with its only loss coming to South Carolina.

Houston 8, Texas State 3
HOUSTON – Texas State (9-10) could not match the offensive firepower of Houston (16-6) and ended the three-day tournament with an 8-3 loss on Sunday afternoon at Cougar Softball Stadium.
