BOONE, N.C. – South Alabama softball sent 14 batters to the plate and scored 10 runs on six hits and two Mountaineer errors as the Jaguars defeated Appalachian State, 14-5 in five innings at Sywassink/Lloyd Family Stadium.

CONWAY, S.C. – With rain in the forecast for Sunday's Game 3 between Coastal Carolina (26-10, 6-6 Sun Belt) and ULM (5-29, 2-10), the two teams decided to play a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon. After a game one loss, Coastal was able to pick up a win in the second game of the day as it featured four home runs by Chanticleer batters.

STATESBORO, Ga. – Four runs in its first at bat propelled the 10th-ranked Louisiana to a 6-3 win over Georgia Southern on Saturday at Eagle Field which clinched the series victory. Louisiana (28-4, 11-0 Sun Belt) collected its 50th consecutive Sun Belt Conference series win, a streak which began in March 2013.

SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State (18-15, 7-4 Sun Belt) walked away with a 4-3 victory over Georgia State (5-28, 3-8) at Bobcat Softball Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

TROY, Ala. – Troy's offense plated five runs in the bottom of the first inning to power past UTA, 7-4, in Game 1 of the doubleheader before Leanna Johnson shutout the Mavericks in game two, 2-0, to sweep UT Arlington for the first time in program history Saturday afternoon at the Troy Softball Complex.
