STATESBORO, Ga. – Appalachian State (12-6) defeated Georgia Southern (13-9) on Friday in a 7-0 shutout to secure the Sun Belt series win. Sydney Holland picked up her fifth win as a Mountaineer for a complete game shutout. The win marks the third Sun Belt series victory for the Mountaineers. Their last series victory was against ULM in the opening weekend of Sun Belt play in 2018, and the first series victory was in 2017 against UTA.

CONWAY, S.C. – Reigning Sun Belt Pitcher of the Week, Kaitlin Beasley-Polko earned her 10th win of the season as she defeated the Georgia State Panthers by the score of 1-0 on Friday afternoon in the first game of the three game set at St. John Stadium. Coastal improves to 17-4 overall and 1-0 in conference play.

TROY, Ala. – Sydney McKay was responsible for a two hits, including a sixth-inning double that resulted in two runs, as she helped lead the ULM softball team to a 4-1 victory over Sun Belt Conference rival Troy in Friday's second game of a doubleheader.

ARLINGTON, Texas – For the second time in as many home games, UTA won with a walk off hit, this time coming off the bat of Laura Curry. The win ends a four-game skid and marks the first Sun Belt opener that the Mavericks have won since joining in 2013.
