– Appalachian State (27-11, 11-3 Sun Belt) split the midweek doubleheader with UNC Greensboro (25-13) on Wednesday. The Mountaineers dropped game one 2-5, but bounced back in game two and beat the Spartans 2-1. The most notable stat line of the night is that of Kenzie Longanecker recording her 300th strikeout of her career. She ranks fourth all-time in App State history for strikeouts and tied for second for wins in a single season with 14.

 – Georgia Southern junior Mekhia Freemandelivered a pair of RBI singles and four Eagle pitchers combined to limit the College of Charleston to one run in a 2-1 midweek non-conference victory for the Eagles on Wednesday at Eagle Field.

– Five runs in the fifth inning, all scored with two outs, broke open the contest and sent No. 10 Louisiana to a 7-1 win over Southeastern Louisiana on Wednesday at Yvette Girouard Field at Lamson Park.?

Troy 3, South Alabama 2
TROY, Ala.
– Troy downed South Alabama, 3-2, to extend its win streak to 12 games and match the program's longest win streak Wednesday night at Jaguar Field. With their 12-consecutive win, the Trojans (30-13, 12-4 Sun Belt) match the program's longest win streak that was originally set in 1995. 

Texas State 8, UTSA 6
SAN ANTONIO
– Texas State (21-17, 9-5 Sun Belt) rallied late to down UTSA (17-22) at Roadrunner Field on Wednesday evening by a score of 8-6. Texas State registered six runs in the top of the seventh inning to secure the comeback win.
