LYNCHBURG, VA - Appalachian State (31-25, 13-13 Sun Belt) fell to George Washington (44-17) by a score of 1-2 on Friday in the elimination bracket of the NISC Liberty Regional. With the loss, the Mountaineers' historic season comes to an official end. Appalachian reached 31 wins for only the second time in program history with a .554 winning percentage. It marks the second best record in App State history since 2013.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - UTA overcame an error-filled third inning to defeat McNeese 5-3 in the semifinals of the NISC Nacogdoches Regional on Friday afternoon. The Mavericks advance to play the winner of McNeese and Stephen F. Austin tomorrow (Saturday) at 10 a.m. for the Regional Championship.
