NEW ORLEANS – Marshall’s Aislynn Hayes dropped a career-high 31 points in the Herd’s win over Tulsa to secure Sun Belt Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.

Hayes scored a new career-high 31 points in Marshall's overtime victory over Tulsa on Saturday. The senior went 4-8 from three-point range, 9-11 from the line and lead the team with nine boards in the teams 84-80 overtime win versus Tulsa. Hayes leads the Herd in scoring so far this season averaging 18.5 points per game, which also leads the Sun Belt. Hayes is one of only two players in the Sun Belt to have totaled 100 or more points on the season thus far. Hayes’s 111 through six games is tied for the most in the league.
Hayes was a preseason All-Sun Belt first team selection after having appeared in 32 of Marshall’s 33 games and averaged 14.5 points per game last season.
