NEW ORLEANS – 22 Sun Belt Conference women’s basketball student-athletes were named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Women’s Basketball teams in an announcement by the organization Tuesday afternoon.
South Alabama led the way with four honorees, App State, Georgia Southern, Marshall each had three, James Madison, ULM and Southern Miss had two while Georgia State, Old Dominion and Texas State had one.
Honorees are selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizing the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men’s basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 15, 2026.
