HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Top-seeded Georgia State prevailed with a tense, 3-2 victory against third-seeded Coastal Carolina to punch its ticket to the 2024 Sun Belt Volleyball Championship title match for the second consecutive season Friday afternoon at John Hunt Park in Huntsville, Ala. 
 
Coastal Carolina and second-seeded UNCW will face off at 10 a.m. CT Saturday for the right to challenge Georgia State in the championship match at 1 p.m. Both matches will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
 
The Panthers collected a straight-set win on court two, but the Chanticleers leveled the score, 1-1, after accomplishing the same feat on court three. Georgia State earned a three-set, comeback win on court one to reclaim the lead, and despite Coastal Carolina holding leads mid-way through the third set on each of the remaining courts, the Panthers clawed their way back on court four to win the final frame, 15-13, and clinch the overall match.
 
After seventh-seeded ULM collected wins over seventh-seeded Southern Miss and fifth-seeded Mercer in the elimination bracket earlier in the day, the Warhawks met UNCW in a rematch of Thursday’s first round matchup. The Seahawks ended ULM’s run with three straight-set victories en route to a 4-1 victory.
