NEW ORLEANS – West Virginia forward Sergio Ors Navarro and James Madison goalkeeper Sebastian Conlon earned the first Sun Belt Conference Men’s Soccer Players of the Week honors of the 2024 campaign.

Sergio Ors Navarro, West Virginia

Ors Navarro netted a hat trick in the team’s season opener versus Purdue-Fort Wayne, leading the No. 3 Mountaineers to a 4-2 win. The forward scored with his head, left foot, and right foot, recording the only hat trick in the NCAA so far this season. He also leads the country in total goals with five and goals per game averaging 2.50.

Sebastian Conlon, James Madison

Conlon held the opposition scoreless over 180 minutes of action in the No. 18 Dukes’ pair of draws versus CSUN and No. 21 UCLA over the weekend. The junior recorded four saves and registered back-to-back shutouts for the third time in his career.
