West Virginia’s Carlson, Georgia Southern’s Seher Earn Sun Belt Men’s Soccer Player of the Week

NEW ORLEANS – West Virginia midfielder Simon Carlson and Georgia Southern defender Julien Seher led their respective teams to shutout victories, earning Sun Belt Conference Men’s Soccer Players of the Week.
 
Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
Simon Carlson, West Virginia

Carlson began the week with his first two goals of the season against Saint Francis. He then collected his third goal of the year and his NCAA-leading fourth assist in West Virginia’s 4-0 victory over George Washington. The Mountaineers are off to a 3-0-0 start to the season and claim Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week for the second week in a row.

Julien Seher, Gerogia Southern

In the first start of his collegiate career, Seher and the Eagles defense held Florida Gulf Coast to just three shots on goal in the teams shutout victory. The freshman also recorded his first career assist on the Eagles first goal of the match.
