James Madison's McDaniel Earns Sun Belt Women's Basketball Player of the Week

NEW ORLEANS – James Madison’s Peyton McDaniel earns Sun Belt women's basketball weekly honors.

McDaniel averaged 19.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per game this past week, highlighted by a double-double of 23 points and a season-high 14 rebounds against Villanova. The double-double was her first this season and 23rd in her career.
 
The redshirt-seniors offensive performance helped her move up the Dukes all-time scoring ladder to seventh with 1,766 points. Additionally, her effort on the glass places her 10th in program history with 799 rebounds.
 
McDaniel is currently second in the league in scoring with 16.0 ppg and fourth in rebounding with 8.3.
