Southern Miss’ Unorji & Texas State’s O’Riley Earn Sun Belt Men’s Indoor Track & Field Weekly Honors

NEW ORLEANS – Southern Miss’ Kingsley Unorji and Texas State’s Kason O’Riley
have earned recognition as Sun Belt Men’s Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week after their performances last week. 

Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week
Kingsley Unorji, Southern Miss

Southern Miss’ Kingsley Unorji clocked 6.70 seconds in the 60 meters to take second place, leading the Golden Eagle men to claim four top three finishes at the UAB Invitational this weekend. His time is tied for the best in the league and is ranked 21st in the South Region.

In the men's high jump, Texas State’s Kason O'Riley placed first and set a new NCAA and SBC No. 1 mark of 2.25m/7-4.5. His mark broke his PR, set the Facility Record at Texas A&M and was the 2nd-best jump in TXST history.
