Southern Miss’ Ushie & ULM’s Roach Earn Sun Belt Men’s Indoor Track & Field Weekly Honors

NEW ORLEANS – Southern Miss’ Gracious Ushie and ULM’s Stafon Roach
have earned recognition as Sun Belt Men’s Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week after their performances last week. 

Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week
Gracious Ushie, Southern Miss
(So. | Sprints, Delta State, Nigeria) 

Southern Miss’ Gracious Ushie led the 60m dash across the conference this weekend at the Music City Classic with a new personal best of 6.66 seconds that ranks inside the top 50 nationally and leads the league.

Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week
Stafon Roach, ULM
(So. | Jumps | Georgetown, Guyana)

ULM’s Stafon Roach recorded a personal-best distance of 15.68m/51-5.5 mark in the triple jump at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational. His jump ranks first this season by any SBC jumper, is fifth in the South Central Region and 28th in the nation.
